Description:
The Accountant I is responsible for performing all functions related to Payroll and Accounts Payable in a timely and accurate manner.
Job duties include, but are not limited to, processing and reconciling the following for our multi-company agency:
payroll, payroll-related reports, payroll-related taxes, employee benefit deductions & insurance carrier payments, 401k deductions & contribution payments, and all accounts payable invoices for payment.
The Accountant I will maintain organized and accurate computer-based and paper files for payroll and accounts payable.
The Accountant I will participate in departmental cross-training and perform other duties as assigned.
Job
Qualifications:
A Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
2-4 years experience in accounting is highly preferred.
2-4 years of experience in Payroll and Accounts Payable is highly preferred.
Fully functional in Microsoft Office applications required.
Advanced skills in Excel required.
Working knowledge of computerized accounting application systems required.
Must be detail-oriented, have the ability to set priorities & multi-task, and have excellent interpersonal skills.
