Company Description Manufacturing facilty Job Description Position Specifications:
Coordinates and supervises plant personnel and ensures that quality foam and thermoformed parts are produced according to client expectations.
Ensures the success of new projects resulting in the continued growth of manufacturing plant.
Maintains a clean and safe work place.
Plant Manager reports to Director of Mexico Manufacturing.
1) Directs the activities of the manufacturing and office personnel.
2) Supervises and ensures that the production programs are being completed according to client needs within time constraints and with the least use of resources.
3) Monitors quality of product based on quality plans and commences corrective actions as necessary.
4) Monitors equipment speed and maximizes throughput based on ability of packaging operator.
5) Monitors waste levels and initiates corrective action as necessary.
7) Conducts performance evaluations of employees and recommends merit increases, promotions and training needs.
9) Maintains communication with external departments relating to:
tooling, quality, change orders, CAR, NCR and PIR.
10) Interviews, hires and trains new employees regarding plant rules and regulations and procedures.
11) Maintains clean and safe workplace at all times.
12) Keeps corporate informed of accomplishments, metrics and issues at the plant through appropriate reports.
13) Maintains quality system ISO-TS.
14) Assures excellent new project coordination which guarantees plant growth.
15) Also responsible for any other activities as needed.
4 years manufacturing experience as plant manager, operations manager or similar.
3
years manufacturing experience in the automotive sector Knowledge of ISO-TS quality systems.
Must have customer focus, innovation and the ability to take risks.
Experience with thermoforming (foam) or packaging a plus.
Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish.
Bachelor university degree required.
