Summary:
Performs a variety of duties related to the operations of the front desk, to include cashiering responsibilities, greeting guests, registration, answering phones, answering guest questions and clerical duties.
Work involves daily contact with the public.
Works under close supervision, with minimal latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

a.
Ensures customers receive excellent customer service by providing friendly, prompt service, greeting and acknowledging incoming customers and providing accurate program and facility information.
b.
Answers incoming phone calls, registers patrons for various programs and collects corresponding fees in compliance with cashiering policies and procedures.
c.
Maintains clean and orderly appearance of front desk/registration area.
d.
Performs miscellaneous administrative tasks including filing and organizing.
e.
Supports other divisions of the department as needed to include assisting with special events, programs and providing coverage in the absence of staff.
f.
Enforces and follows facility and safety regulations.
g.
Communicates patron concerns and safety issues to management.
h.
Attends required meetings and trainings.
i.
Performs related work and reports as assigned.
Conditions of Employment:

Applicant must take and pass a pre-employment drug test administered by the City of Edinburg at the City's expense.

Must have a current valid class C driver's license from the Texas Department of Public Safety with a satisfactory driving record.

The individual works indoors in a well-lighted, air-conditioned office with some outdoor duties at times.
