Most decisions are guided by existing policies, and sound judgment must be used to know and apply the policies.
The FSC/EIS must be able to work well under stress and be able to handle multiple tasks, making critical decisions and prioritizing.
Grant Disclosure This position is funded by a grant, employment in that position is contingent upon the continued receipt of grant funding and the appropriate allocation of such funds for the position's purpose.
A grant-funded position may be terminated upon no less than fourteen (14) days' notice if grant funding is not received or is not available for the position for any reason.

1.
Assist with efforts to identify infants and children eligible for services through the ECI Program.
2.
Conduct intake and screening for infants, birth to three years, who have been referred to the program.
3.
Working with a multidisciplinary team, conduct assessment of infants, birth to three years, to determine program eligibility and areas of need.
4.
Develop and implement an Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP) for eligible children and their families.
5.
Conduct service coordination activities in support of children and families served by the program, including, but not limited to:
Scheduling therapy sessions and medical appointments Locating and linking families to needed services Maintaining accurate case files with reports, records, and case notes Responding to inquiries from families, other ECI programs, and agencies Monitoring services as determined on the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) Scheduling all follow-up staffing recommendations, treatment reviews and annual evaluations Provide parents with all required documentation 6.
Will perform an average minimum of 25 home visits per week and conduct prompt telephone communication to meet the families' needs and serve all families as described on their IFSP.

Provide Specialized Skills Training (SST) sessions as determined on the Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP), and maintain intervention plans and case notes on these sessions through electronic system - ProviderSoft.
8.
Responsible for maintaining and submitting professional development documentation and maintaining current professional certification/licensure in a timely manner.
9.
Maintain professional and educational learning by self-directed study and participating in professional development training.
10.
Adhere to and implement all Easterseals and ECI policies with the highest standard of ethical conduct and practice.
11.
Responsible for the accurate completion of daily time and electronic case records.
12.
Required to adhere to regular attendance as a core component of the job description as well as strict adherence to scheduled work hours.
13.
Required to apply all best practice/evidence based practices to support goals and outcomes as per IFSP.
14.
Conduct related duties as assigned by management.
Secondary
Responsibilities:
1.
When needed, responsible for reporting accurate departmental statistics as required by monthly case status reports & compliance tracking, annual reports, time study, and performance reports.
2.
Report to Accounting Department supply needs, equipment needs and repairs, as well as inventory review and updating.
3.
Assist in Community Outreach Programs as directed.
4.
Assist in Fund Development activities as requested.
5.
Promote safety in the organization for staff, visitors and clients of Easter Seals RGV through following Safety Precautions and procedures as outlined in the Safety Manual.

Thoroughness Supervisory Responsibility This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
However, occasional assignment of students and volunteers.
Work Environment This job operates in both a clerical, office setting and in city and rural travel while moving to and from client's home.
Operation in a clerical/office setting is minimal, routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Operation on the road requires vehicle operation on city and rural roads.
Will work in diverse conditions as necessary while in home visits with potential exposure to communicable diseases through body fluids or interactions with clients.
Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
This role requires typing, driving, walking, standing and climbing of stairs may also be required.
This would require the ability to:
Lifting - 20 to 100 pounds.
Squatting, stooping, reaching, standing, twisting, as dealing with infants and their families in natural environments.
Reaching, handling, fingering and/or feeling Ability to read typewritten material and computer monitor under typical office conditions.
Must be able to handle multi duties/functions at one time.
Must be able to manage demands of workload in appropriate manner.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time or part-time position.
A typical office workweek days and hours of operation are generally Monday through Friday from 8:
00 am to 5:
00 pm.
However, it may require some evenings and weekend hours to ensure families have access to visits and meetings.
Travel Commute in city and some rural areas while visiting and moving between organizations and/or client's homes.
Travel may be expected.
Mileage reimbursement policy:
must be adhere to, in order to receive any reimbursement for work commute mileage.
Required Education and Experience 1.
Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood, Special Education, Social Work, Rehabilitation, or a related field.
Three (3) credit hours in Child Development or Special Education with emphasis in early childhood.
2.
One to three years experience working with early childhood/learning disabilities preferred.
3.
Excellent verbal, written, and computer communication skills required.
Proven comfort level dealing directly with public and families.
4.
Good time management skills, excellent follow through abilities and detail oriented.
5.
Ability to work well with others and in a team environment.
6.
Bilingual capabilities desired.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications 1.
Must be able to successfully clear a criminal background check that may include DPS, DFPS, FBI, general Public Data backgrounds.
Initially and every 24 months.
2.
Must be able to successfully pass a drug screen.
Initially, randomly or when requested.
3.
Must be able to and maintain a cleared TB skin screen test.
Initially and upon expiration date.
4.
Must have/maintain a valid Texas Driver's License and continued proof of vehicle insurance.
Work Authorization Must be able to provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
