FOB Veg Sales Representative Produce Careers Produce Careers View All Jobs Visit our website FOB Veg Sales Representative Produce Careers - McAllen, TX or Hybrid, XX An established and growing Greenhouse Grower/Packer/Shipper from Mexico is adding sales talent to their team. Due to the company's success and forecasted growth, this is a newly created role which will be responsible for current account development / business development in all profitable customer segments. (Retail, Wholesale, Foodservice, etc.) Our client has a vertically integrated operation for tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, squash and other dry veg commodities. This position will ideally be based full time in McAllen, Texas:
with relocation assistance available - if needed. Remote/hybrid-based could also be considered, for the right candidate and initial time in the office for onboarding.
Responsibilities:
Manage and do business development for retail, wholesale, and foodservice accounts. Prospect and develop new sales that grow volume and returns for commodities sold. Be point of contact for team and customers for product availability, pricing, quality, delivery, etc. Work closely with the team on pricing and inventory to meet sales goals. Partner with management to develop and implement strategies for securing new accounts and achieving sales goals. Monitor customer, market, and competitor activity and provide feedback.
Qualifications:
Previous sales experience with highly perishable produce categories (tomato and/or dry veg preferred) Track record selling volume at a good price point for the Grower. Skilled negotiation skills and problem solver. Entrepreneurial spirit and business mind. (If not based in McAllen, TX) Ability for routine time spent in McAllen sales office. College degree (B.A. /B.S.) in related fields of study desired, or relevant experience in the produce industry.
