Procurement and Sales Specialist
Job Title:
Procurement & Sales Specialist Reports To:
Sales Manager
Summary
Under the general direction of and reporting to the Sales Manager, the Sales Representative is responsible for selling company products, developing and securing new customers, and may assist to investigate potential new product uses or applications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.
o Demonstrate products and assist prospective accounts to select those that best suits their needs.
o Assist in the development of special products.
o Demonstrate and familiarize established accounts with new products (services) and developments.
o Coordinate and otherwise assist with the services of the Company's technical staff to determine customers' needs and preparation of samples as needed.
o Assist with preparations for trade shows.
o Prepare formal presentations to customers on proposed products.
o Prepare and negotiate price quotations, terms of sales, delivery dates, etc., and prepare orders subject to the approval of the company.
o Investigate and expedite product claims and complaints in accordance with marketing policies and assist to resolve problems and recommend corrective action.
o Keep the company informed on competitive products, promotional matter, sales techniques, pricing and market policies.
o Prepare and submit periodic reports on activities, sales volume, expenses, etc.
o Assist the Sales Manager with administrative duties such as filing and data entry
Qualifications
o Degree from a four-year college or university is a plus
o Broad sales experience of three or more years, preferably in fresh produce
o Bi-Lingual (Spanish)
o Familiarity with major growers in both the United States and Mexico
o Requires the ability to operate various office equipment to include a computer, voice mail, copier, fax, and calculator.
o Requires the ability to operate various software such as word processing, spreadsheets and databases.
