Program Support Assistant (OA)

Performs work involving the collection, compilation and/or tracking of date and statistical information in support of the CCT program's operation. Responsible for receiving, sorting, tracking distributing, and returning completed Home Health Orders from Non VA Care Coordination home health agencies. Assists in the planning, review, and reporting of data/statistical results of the program. Establishes and organizes computerized data sets, and retrieves computerized data. Performs a basic analysis of the data and generates a variety of reports. Identifies, initiates and organizes process for data collection for the program. Reviews documents and reports, and ensures data entry is complete and accurate. Enters pertinent information into an automated tracking system. Maintains automated system of program specific data to track and works with Nurse Coordinator to implement a plan of action based on the data. Assists the CCT staff in timely completion of reports, controlling correspondence and action documents, management of the Program's budget, and composes correspondence on own initiative. Prepares word documents, correspondence, and meeting minutes; processes incoming and outgoing material; generates copies and faxes; assembles document packets; receives and delivers mail. Schedules meetings, notifies appropriate attendees, reserves space and ensures necessary audiovisual equipment and information/documents are available. Incumbent will identify and address equipment needs necessary for program. Monthly Reports:
Creates, maintains, and updates patient information databases and systems to track and trend program outcomes. Utilizes Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Accucare software and applications systems to develop and compile weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual program reports. Ensures that a spreadsheet/notebook is created and maintained that will have information on each veteran enrolled in the CCT program. Maintains demographic information on all active patients within VISTA and CPRS. Organizes and maintains administrative files, manuals, and policy binders. Work Schedule:

Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-06 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-05. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. Experience:
You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-06 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to:
experience using automated software applications such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint); medical terminology; data entry into tracking systems; reports summarizing findings from tracking systems to be submitted internally and externally; prepare in final format memoranda, letters, meeting notes, and other documents; maintain files and suspense; coordinate meetings; maintain calendars/schedules; receive/route mail and telephone calls; travel preparation; timekeeping; and maintains supplies and equipment. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
